International fashion retailers such as C&A, Inditex Group and New Yorker, as well as Cinema City, the cinema operator, are taking up 12,000 sqm of lettable area in Immofinanz’s Maritimo Shopping Center in Constanta, the fund announced.

The Maritimo Shopping Center will house the first stores of C&A (1,800 sqm) and New Yorker (1,200 sqm) in the region of Constanta. The Inditex Group has secured a total sales area of 4,500 sqm for its six fashion brands that are available on the Romanian market: Zara, Bershka, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, Oysho and Massimo Dutti. Cinema City, the leading cinema operator in Romania and Central Europe, will run a Multiplex cinema with eight cinema halls. Thus, the Maritimo Shopping Center will offer an appealing shopping and service experience as well as a variety of entertainment and leisure possibilities to the residents of the Constanta region.

The overall concept of the Maritimo Shopping Center with a 16,000 sqm Auchan hypermarket, some 130 shops, an 8-hall multiplex cinema and a parking lot with 2,200 parking spaces meets the demands of international and national tenants. The shopping center is located on Aurel Vlaicu Boulevard, the main road connecting the northern and the southern part of Constanta.

“Currently we are in discussion with further internationally well-known retailers that also show great interest. We assume that the Maritimo Shopping Center, with an overall lettable area of more than 50,000 sqm, will become the largest and most appealing shopping center in the region due to the brand mix and service offerings,” said Eduard Zehetner, CEO of Immofinanz Group. The opening is planned for autumn 2011.

The leasing of the center is carried out by the exclusive agent Krammer & Wagner, which has been successful in the field of development, consulting and marketing of real estate for more than 20 years with a total delivered retail area of over 600,000 sqm.

Currently the portfolio of Immofinanz includes more than 1,600 standing investments with a book value of approximately EUR 8.4 billion. Immofinanz is listed on the prime market and will be included in the ATX effective as of 21 March 2011 of the Vienna Stock Exchange. Immofinanz Group focuses its activities on retail, logistics, office and residential in the eight regional core markets of Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Poland and Russia.
