The new stage for Cyber Security, to be inaugurated during the sixth Internet & Mobile World, will be taken over by 24 hackers, cyber warriors and data protection experts from Romania and abroad, during the 2-day event taking place at Romexpo Bucharest between October 4-5.

The Cyberint National Centre managed by the domestic intelligence service SRI and CERT-TO, the two institutions providing Romania’s cyber defense, will have speakers on the Security stage at IMWorld 2017.

We hope you join our journalists on exclusive video interviews and host panels with key international and local speakers about the digital transformation, which is quickly becoming a strategic development pillar for businesses across the globe.

The director of CERT-RO, Mircea Grigoras and Cristian Iordan, PhD, the director for cooperation and partnerships of Cyberint National Centre (SRI), will be guest speakers that will address the challenges and security trends in the cyber space.

There will be a spectacular session hosted by Tinkode (Razvan Cernaianiu), former hacker, who was ranked as the most wanted hacker on the globe after he had breached into the servers of NASA, Pentagon and the UK Royal Navy.

Meanwhile, he has co-founded Cyber Smart Defence and is an expert in data security. During his Live Hacking session at IMWorld, Tinkode will raise awareness on the risks generated by poor data management in the case of companies.

Another former hacker that will take the stage is Tflow (Mustafa Al-Bassam), co-founder of the hacking group LulzSec. The organization made the headlines in 2011 when it hacked into the servers of Fortune 500 companies, including Sony Pictures. LulzSec also gained access into the networks of governments and the CIA.

Tflow is currently pursuing PhD studies in cryptocurrencies in London and he is working in IT security. At IMWorld he will talk about human and economic impulses in IT security.

You will also be able to watch a cyber-warrior on the Security stage. Harry Halpin, PhD, the coordinator of the NEXTLEAP project from Inria, is working on designing secured and decentralized protocols from messaging as well as mix-networking systems resistant to traffic analysis.

As a former member of W3C (World Wide Web Consortium), as well as founding of the Work Group Web Cryptography, which produced the Web Crypto API, implemented on all the internet browsers, Halpin will hold the presentation The last revolution in the standardization of security: beyond the crisis of cyberwar, mass surveillance and DRM.

The sixth IMWorld will have over 140 speakers on the six stages of the event: Main Stage, SMBs & Enterprise Solutions, Developers, Digital & E-Commerce, Marketing & Innovation and Security Stage. The 2-day event will also feature four exhibition areas with over 130 companies that will present 2,300 IT and digital solutions.

Over 8,500 visitors are expected at IMWorld 2017, out of which 3,000 at the level of CxO.
