Employers in the European Economic Space have opened up 1,305 jobs for Romanian workers, through the Eures network. Most of the jobs are in Germany, Spain and Malta.
According to data gathered by the National Agency for Employment (ANOFM), there are 679 jobs in Germany, most for baggage handling and driving; in Spain, 136 positions are open, mostly in agriculture, and in Malta there are 155 jobs, predominantly for bus drivers. The UK is offering 116 jobs, mostly in agriculture; the Netherlands has 105, mainly in strawberry picking.
The countries offering a lower number of jobs are the Czech Republic – 31, Belgium – 26, Norway – 15, Luxembourg – 10, Slovenia – 4; Finland is only looking for one waiter.
