NEWS ALERT – ex-MP Cristian Boureanu gets 2-year suspended jail sentence for assaulting a police officer

Judges have decided to convict former Romanian MP Cristian Boureanu with a two-year suspended jail sentence for having assaulted a police officer.

Boureanu’s girlfriend, Laura Dinca, was acquitted after being accused of perjury.

Cristian Boureanu is also obligated to pay EUR 7,000 in moral damages to the officer he hit when he was stopped in traffic on June 9, 2018.
