New funding opportunity for Romanian SMEs: Loans worth RON 20 mln

The SMEs can access loans worth RON 20 million by making investments or for the current activity support through the agreement “SMEs ceiling guarantee” between Banca Romaneasca and EximBank.

„The SME clients who develops activity with the support of Banca Romaneasca have a maximum value of the individual guarantee of RON 1.5 million and the guaranteed percentage is maximum 80 percent of the investments loans or maximum 70 percent in the case of loans for the current activity support, a percentage available also for the banking guarantee letters,” said Cosmin Calin, executive director of Banca Romaneasca.

The SME clients can choose the loan solutions for a loan length of maximum 5 years (in the case of products for investments projects), maximum 12 months (in the case of loans for the current activity) or maximum 24 months (in the case of banking guarantee letter).

The executive president of state-owned EximBank, Traian Halalai, suggest other commercial banks “to capitalize our offer, the benefits offered by the SMEs ceiling guarantee making easier the diversification of the financing solutions of local SMEs projects on short and medium term, supporting at the same time the reach of performance targets specific to the banking institutions.”
