The minister for European funds Rovana Plumb signed 19 financing contracts worth RON 18 million for SMEs, through the Regional Operational Program 2014-2020.
The projects were selected for finance within the projects call no. POR 2016/2/2.1.A, priority axe 2- improvement of competitiveness of SMEs, investments priority 2.1- promotion of entrepreneurship spirit.
„Supporting the business environment is what concerns us constantly. It’s one of the objectives of the governing program and I am glad that I can respond to the SMEs’ needs, including via European funds. The supply, modernization and expansion of the production capacity for SMEs means support so that they become more competitive and create more jobs,” said Plumb.
The program finances among others, the construction works, expansion and modernization of production spaces and services activity of SMEs, including of utilities for water supply, channels, natural gas supply, thermic agent, energy, but also the acquisition of technological equipments, work installation, furniture, informatic equipments, etc.
There are also planned finances in alternative energy sources, such as the wind or hydro-energy.
