Minister Oprea: Only 27 percent of Romanian SMEs currently have a website, government to issue vouchers for digitalization

The minister of Business, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, Stefan Radu Oprea, says the government will issue vouchers worth EUR 3,000 to support the digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises in Romania.

Only 27 percent of Romanian SMEs currently have a website, which is very worrying in the context of Industry 4.0, said the minister, during BR’s Country Focus Community Forum.

“We want to visit Romania’s counties and bring together entrepreneurs and fiscal agencies, in order to improve the relationship between the state and entrepreneurs and bring forward the idea of the state as a business partner,” said the minister.

Oprea added that the supports policies to help Romanian companies go international.
