Minister Borc: By unblocking RON 43 mln some big investment projects in tourism can be finished

Several touristic objectives from Borsec, Govora, Voineasa and the ski areas from Campulung Moldovenesc, Petrosani and Lupeni will be finalized until the end of this year, once RON 43 million will be unblocked, says the minister of Economy, Costin Borc.

Borc approved the decision regarding the lists with the tourism investment projects and programs and with the financing sources of technical documents and execution works of the programs and objectives for tourism investments, as well as the approval of the eligibility criteria.

This document facilitates the financing of a some tourism investment projects as well as the finalization of some investment objectives in progress whose financing was interrupted after 2013, according to a release of the Ministry of Economy from Thursday.

„The projects already in progress of 80-90 percent will be a priority and I’m referring for example to the touristic objectives from Borsec, Govora, Voineasa and the ski areas from Campulung Moldovenesc, Petrosani and Lupeni, ” says Borc.

He added that in the ANT (National Agency of Tourism) budget around RON 4 million will be transferred to the budget adjustment for promotion actions.

„We can therefore continue to consolidate our online presence in a domain where the digital component is  defining. We develop and transform the national platform of online tourism in a modern and integrated portal of tourism and we also allocate funds for a series of important actions of marketing oriented to incoming, ” added Borc.
