The minister of health Florian Bodog said that he aims to ask for the intra-EU export block for drugs that go out of the market, that cannot be found in pharmacies and for which the supply cannot be made on time.

„At the same time, I sent the letter to the Economy Ministry to make the notification to the European Commission to block the vaccine export and I want to confess that intend to ask the intra-community export block for drugs the next week for the drugs from the oncology programs, to the drugs for children with luekemia, for all the drugs that go out of the market, for the ones that cannot be found in pharmacies and for which the supply cannot be made on time, ” said Bodog at the Parliament Palace.

He added that he is determined because he wants that Romanian patients not to be disadvantaged compared with the ones from other countries where drugs have higher prices.

„I want to say that we are in a crisis situation that we manage carefully. The Health Ministry has taken all the measures to buy vaccines,” said Bodog.
