Metropolitan Life launches e-Claims, application facilitating Romanians’ access to damages

Metropolitan Life launches e-Claims, the application facilitating Romanian clients the faster access to damages in case of the insured events. The application offers an easy manner of damages requirements transmission no matter the policy closing manner, from PC, tablet or mobile.

Opening a file to obtain a damage can be a complex process and sometimes lengthy, according to the event that requires damages, the necessary documents for the insurer and the contractual conditions. Also, at the level of the insurance policy categories, according to Metropolitan Life studies, 44 percent of the respondents avoid to acquire a life insurance because they face a bureaucratic, lengthy and complex process and 41 percent of them consider that they won’t recover the investment in the case of an unexpected event.

The launch of the e-claims application is part of the digitalization strategy of Metropolitan Life company, but also to offer Romanians an easy access to complex products of protection and savings. The necessary documents can be photographed and attached directly in the e-Claims application without the shift of the client to the post office or agency for their submission. The clients’ files are automatically registered and they are analyzed faster in the damages department, while the information filled in by clients are seen faster in the application.
