Healthcare services provider MedLife has opened a EUR 13.5 million pediatrics hospital in Bucharest. The hospital is the first private one for children in Romania and is expected to see approximately 400 patients monthly, while bringing in EUR 4 million in revenues by the end of 2011.

The hospital offers integrated pediatrics services such as specialty investigations both in- and out-of –hospital, surgical interventions, imaging and lab investigations. The unit has six levels, spreads on over 5,200 sqm, and accommodates a total of 132 beds.

The pediatrics hospital opened in Bucharest is the third hospital in MedLife’s portfolio, after the Life Memorial hospital opened in 2007 and the MedLife – Genesys one taken over in Arad at the beginning of this year. Medlife is currently working on two other hospitals in Brasov and Bucharest as part of a EUR 45 million investment program planned for 2011 – 2013.
