Medlife goes in the black by RON 8.84 mln in 2017

Medlife had a net profit of over RON 8.84 million last year, in comparison to a RON 1.24 million loss in 2014, according to preliminary financial results published on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) website.

“The net result for 2017 grew by RON 10.08 million from 2016, from a RON 1.24 million loss to a RON 8.84 million profit in 2017,” according to the document.

The turnover of the 12-month period ended on December 31, 2017 exceeded RON 623.2 million, a 24 percent growth from the turnover in 2016.

Other operational incomes had a significant increase in 2017 compared to the previous year, reaching RON 7.496 million. Operational expenditures include fixed and variable expenditures, as well as those with goods and materials used by the group for providing services.

Operational profit rose by 80 percent, from RON 19.55 million in 2016 to Ron 35.12 million in 2017.

The document shows that financial loss grew, in the same period, by RON 2.19 million, reaching RON 20.58 million, mainly due to the net losses of the exchange rate which occurred in 2017.
