Key move. Olympus Romania appoints Athanasios Giannousis as commercial director

Olympus Romania, one of the major players on the local dairies market, appoints Athanasios Giannousis as commercial director, leading the development plans of the company in Romania. Giannousis replaces Ilias Pliatsikas, which will continue to be part of the Olympus-Tyras group in Greece.

Giannousis has over nine years of experience in the international FMCG industry, having held previously managerial positions with Olympus Greece, as well as in Romania, as production manager and sales director. His projects comprise the identification of new market opportunities, innovations and product development, sales operations leading.

“We are glad to announce the appointment of Giannousis, who has been a part of the Olympus family for a long time, as commercial director. With a strong presence on the Romanian market, Olympus entered a new development stage, “ said Stergios Sourlis, commercial director for International Markets, Olympus-Tyras Group.

Georgios was previously production manager and acquisitions within other factories from the group, in Greece.

“I am glad to contribute to the Olympus Romania positioning as one of the most important players of the dairy industry in Romania, and after six years when I followed our mission, I will continue to make this from a strategic role within the group. I am confident that Olympus Romania will continue its expansion at local level and I wish Athanasios good luck in his new role,” said Pliatsikas.
