Key Move. Hidroelectrica appoints former State Secretary Bogdan Nicolae Badea as director

Hidroelectrica, the largest electricity producer in Romania and biggest state-own company, has appointed former State Secretary Bogdan Nicolae Badea as its director.

The decision was taken by the supervision council, in a meeting that was just completed. In the same meeting, two new members, Marian Bratu and Mihai Val Zdru were elected,” company representatives told News.ro.

Previously, Bogdan Nicolae Badea was manager of the Project Management Department with the Investment Directorate of Hidroelectrica, and Marian Bratu was the head of the Maintanence Department. They both have expertise in investment, production and maintenance.

Bogdan-Nicolae Badea is a former Secretary of State with the Ministry of Energy and was part of the administration board of Rompetrol Rafinare. Previously, Badea was development director with Electrica as well as a member of the boards of Enel Energie and Enel Energie Muntenia between 2007-2009.

Previously, Badea headed a consultancy company specialized in implementing renewable energy projects. He returned to the Ministry of Economy in 2013 and coordinated the state companies in the mining and defense industry.

Ovidiu Agliceru, former general director of Hidroelectrica will take the position of head of the electricity production directorate.
