”The Romanian industrial market has witnessed several record breaking landmarks in 2016: modern industrial stock exceeded 2,5 million sq m and gross-takeup surpassed 460.000 sq m which makes it one of the best years in the history of the market. Romania will remain highly attractive for both industrial developers and occupiers due to its strategic location in Europe and also to the large consumer market with growing spending power. We expect 340,000 sqm of new developments tobe delivered this year, which is almost the same level as the volume registered in 2016; we can safely assume a stable market growth,” said Banica.

JLL’s Industrial Department in Romania handled almost 25 percent of transactions in the local market in 2016. Among the its main customers in this segment there are Profi, Antalis, DB Group, Delamode and KLG.
