The turnover from wholesale trade (with the exception of cars and motor vehicles), gross series, registered a growth of 8.8 percent and of 5.9 percent adjusted series, compared with May 2015, taking into account the number of working days and season, says the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The turnover from wholesale trade, gross series, was fueled by the increase on cars segment, equipments and furnishes (29.7 percent), gross agricultural products and animals (23.6 percent), unspecialized wholesale trade (16.1 percent), informatics and technological equipment (13.1 percent) and food products, beverages and tobacco (11.3 percent).
Drops in intermediary activities were registered in wholesale trade (9.6 percent) and specialized wholesale trade of other products (3.2 percent).
The adjusted series according with the number of working days and season, in May 2016, compared with May 2015, in nominal terms, grew with 5.9 percent, as a result of the wholesale of other cars, equipments and furnishings trade growth (23.4 percent), gross agricultural products and animals (13.9 percent), unspecialized wholesale trade (13.8 percent), consumer goods and other non-food products (13.1 percent), informatics and technological system (11.2 percent), food products, beverages and tobacco (10.1 percent).
