INS: Households’ expenses amount 84 pct of incomes in Q2

The overall average monthly incomes on a household amounted to RON 3,329 and the overall expenses were RON 2,797 in the second quarter of this year, according to a release of the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

The total average monthly incomes represented RON 1,264/month, while the expenses were RON 1,062, representing 84 percent of the levels of total incomes.

“The incomes were in average, RON 3,011 monthly on household (RON 1,143 per person) and the incomes in kind were RON 319 per household (RON 121/person). Wages and other incomes associated to wages were the main source (61.2 percent of the overall households’ incomes). Also for the total incomes of the households contributed the incomes from social services (21.7 percent), incomes from agriculture (2.3 percent), incomes from independent non-agricultural activities (2.3 percent) and the ones from property and assets sales from households’ patrimony (1.4 percent). An important share was represented by the incomes in kind (9.6 percent) mainly the counter value of the agricultural products consume from own resources (8.2 percent),” says the source.

According to INS, the residence area influences the level gaps, and especially the structure gaps between the households from urban and rural area.

The main destinations of expenses in households are: the food consume, the non-products consume and transfers to the public and private administration to the social insurances budgets as taxes, contributions, as well as the needs coverage related to households production.
