On Thursday, October 13, the whole world is celebrating the World Sight Day. The anniversary is marked by the competition with the theme #StrongerTogether, dedicated to the professional and amateur phorographers, which is created by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), with the help of the company Bayer.

The competition invites all the professional and amaterur photographers to photo-document the impact of the eye’s health over the life. They can visit the company’s website to post pictures with the theme #StrongerTogether, in one of the two categories – professional phptographer or amateur. The participants must share the picture in social media, with the hashtag #WSD2016.

The pictures with the biggest amount of votes – in terms of likes and shares – will enter the finalists’ list. The prizes will be: USD 1.000 for the category “Professional photographer”; a Nikon D3300 photo camera for the category “Amateur photographer”. All the winning works will be included in a photo exhibition organized with the occasion of the IAPB’s General Gathering that will take place in Durban, South Africa, in October 2016.

The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness is an alliance formed from organizations of the civil society, professional entities and companies that promote the ocular health for companies.
