Government approves expropriation for 42 properties on 1 Mai- Otopeni subway line

The government approved through a decision the expropriation procedures for 42 properties from the future subway line 1 Mai-Otopeni, which will link the Romanian capital with Henri Coanda Airport.

According to a release of the government, the individual amounts of the damages estimated by the expropriator reach overall RON 6.8 million and represent the damages for 42 properties with an expropriation surface of 39,160 sqm.

The sixth line of the subway makes the extension of the current network of the subway from the station 1 Mai up to the international airport “Henri Coanda” from Bucharest, with a length of 14.2 km and 12 stations.

„This line will allow the direct connection between Gara de Nord and Otopeni airport. The estimated term for the works beginning is the second half of 2018 and the execution period of 48 months. The project is included in the Durable Urban Mobility Plan Bucharest- Ilfov,” says the government.
