Flanco has announced that it will inaugurate a new type of store in its network on April 27, which will also be unique on the market: the first outlet for electronic and IT goods. The outlet will replace the regular Flanco Store on 5 Racari Street in Bucharest, in the Mihai Bravu area, and it will sell refurbished products and stock clearances, at prices that can be up to 80 percent lower than in regular stores.

The outlet will offer electronic and IT products from all categories, with the exception of accessories, with a focus on large household appliances and television sets. Customers will be able to find TVs from RON 299, washing machines from RON 399, vacuum cleaners from RON 99.

Dragos Sirbu, CEO Flanco Retail, said: “Efficiency and flexibility in operations are values we’ve been following ever since last year and we’ve kept them as objectives for this year as well. In the context of rising consumption, as well as the challenges the retail sector is facing in the digital era, we need to adapt. Last year, this meant we had to close stores in large shopping centres and concentrate on opening street-level stores. This time, it meant transforming one of our stores with a key position and a large storage space into the only outlet for electronic goods in Bucharest.”

The outlet will offer several exclusive benefits: free transport for all products, payment in 15 interest-free installments with pre-approval in 10 minutes for purchases over RON 1,500.

“We’re talking about a category that includes new products, which function normally, but their packaging has been opened – either because they were bought and returned, or they were temporarily exposed in one of our stores. These products may have small imperfections that don’t affect their functionality, but most of them are actually perfect, with no marks. Here’s the big advantage of a physical store such as this one: you can see and check the product before you decide whether or not to buy it.”
