Finance minister Eugen Teodorovici has announced that he will go to the Romanian seaside during the May 1 long weekend – not for a holiday, but to oversee the inspections done by the Fiscal Authority (ANAF).
“As a Finance minister, I’ve talked with my colleagues at the Antifraud office – their plan is to be present at the seaside, but I’ve asked them very clearly not to affect the economic activity of any agent through their actions. I don’t want to hear of such practices, and no one needs to be worried about the ANAF inspections,” said Teodorovici.
The minister also said that he would “watch from the shadows, whether it’s day or night”.
