President Donald Trump’s problems with FBI are not over and now it’s the turn of Trump’s personal attorney to be verified. After the news broke out that the president’s attorney Michael Cohen office and hotel room have been raided by the FBI, Trump said that “it’s an attack on our country”.

Sources told CNN that authorities seized documents related to the porn star Stormy Daniels, who was paid USD 130,000 to keep quiet about an affair she had with Donald Trump in 2006, many years before he became president.

The president denied the affair and, at a conference about Syria, was visibly angered by the news and slammed the investigation conducted by special counsel Robert Mueller, whose office provided information used by the Southern District of New York to obtain the warrants for the raids on Michael Cohen.

Trump said that it is just a “witch hunt”, similar to the investigations oh other matters, like Russia probe. “I just heard that they broke into the office of one of my personal attorneys. Good man. And it’s a disgraceful situation. It’s a total witch hunt”, said Trump.

Earlier this year, Cohen admitted that he made the payment to Stormy Daniels in 2016 by setting up a limited liability company. This triggered the Justice Department an Federal Election Commission over potential violations of campaign finance law and started the investigation.

Trump said he did not know about the payment and declined to comment further on the matter. On the other hand, it is in Presidents power to fire Robert Mueller and also Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who has oversight of the probe.
