Online retailer Fashion Days, part of eMAG group, expects a 50 percent increase of its business this year after posting a 17 percent growth in turnover to EUR 50 million last year in the three countries where it has operations – Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary.

The local sales of the fashion retailer amounted to RON 136 million in 2016, up 29 percent year-on-year.

Fashion Days said it would continue its investment program, which last year resulted in the construction of a new warehouse and the launch of new services for customers, including marketing campaigns and the update of the mobile app.

“The teams of Fashion Days and eMAG will continue to work together for the development of new growth opportunities for both brand platforms,” said Andrei Chirila, chief marketing officer at Fashion Days.

This year, the e-commerce player is looking to upgrade the mobile app and to open new delivery points in partnership with eMAG.

Fashion Days currently has 4 million members and 65 percent of them are women. At present, 50 percent of the shopping orders are made through mobile.

The retailer added that the average shopping basket value grew by 10 percent to RON 340 last year.

Fashion Days has 500 employees in three countries.
