Farmers can submit Single Payment Requests for 2018 Campaign until May 15

The deadline for the submission of Single Payment Requests for the 2018 Campaign is May 15, according to an order by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development regarding the method of implementation of direct payment schemes and national aid schemes for agriculture.

Until now, 715,077 Single Payment Requests were submitted at the local or regional centres of the Agriculture Payments and Intervention Agency (APIA), for a total surface of 5,141,135 hectares.

Farmers can submit a single payment request regardless of whether they own land in different areas. For surfaces larger than 50 hectares of farmable land, the requests are submitted to APIA’s county centres, and smaller surfaces can be submitted at local centres.

The support is financed through the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the state budget.
