Farmec continues its extension and modernization of the distribution network in the country. After the opening of a new store in Timisoara, the company has  announced the opening of a new logistics center which will cover Timis, Arad, Caras-Severin and Hunedoara counties.

The new logistics space has a total surface of 500 sqm and is situated at 7 km of Timisoara, in Ghiroda, within a space dedicated to the warehousing spaces with access for big cars.

The necessity of the Farmec storage extension was due to the growth in the Romanian people’s interest for the company’s products and at the same time, for sales. The logistic point serves approximately 1,000 customers, one of them having more than one selling point, in Timisoara, Arad, Caras-Severin, Hunedoara.

This activity is part of the annual strategy of development and implementation of the most efficient technological and logistics solutions, according to the turnover of the company and the popularity among consumers.

“The need of extension has come naturally, the closeness towards our customers and our partners representing a priority, especially in the context of the constant growth of their interest in the products of Farmec portofolio. We follow a rational strategy of development of the national coverage, through the identification of the important transport network and through the analysis of the procurement need at regional and national level, “ said Septimiu Maniu, logistics director of the Farmec company.

The 400 types of products that belong to the Farmec company are present in 24,000 stores and pharmacies from Romania.
