Employees in Bucharest, Cluj, Timis and Ilfov best paid in 2018

Employees in Bucharest and the counties of Cluj, Timis and Ilfov are the best paid this year in terms of net average monthly earnings. At the opposite end are employees in the counties of Bistrita-Nasaud, Ialomita and Harghita, according to the projection of the main economic and social indicators in territorial profile until 2021, published by Romania’s National Prognosis Commission.

Specifically, in Bucharest, the monthly net earnings in 2018 will reach RON 3658 / employee, in Cluj will stand at RON 3118 lei / employee, in Timis – RON 2992 / employee and in Ilfov – RON 2853 / employee. The lowest paid employees this year are projected to be those in Bistrita-Nasaud, with net monthly average earnings of RON 2094 / employee, Ialomita – RON 2047 / employee and Harghita  RON 2019 lei / employee.

Considered per region, the most important net earnings will be recorded in Bucharest – Ilfov (RON 3555 / employee), West (RON 2590 / employee) and Northwest (RON 2479 / employee), and the lowest such revenues in the South- West Oltenia (RON 2282 / employee), North-East (RON 2267 / employee) and South-East (RON 2159 / employee).

The biggest number of unemployed will be recorded at the end of this year in the North-East (65,000), South-West Oltenia (60,000) and South Muntenia (58,000), and the lowest in the Northwest (33,000 people), Bucharest – Ilfov (19,000 people) and West (18,000 people). South West Oltenia, with 7.1 percent will have most unemployed people, followed by South East with 5.4 percent and North East, with 5.3 percent. At the opposite end, the regions with the lowest unemployment rates will be North-West (2.7 percent), West (2.1 percent) and Bucharest-Ilfov (1.4 percent).

Among the Romanian counties, Vaslui will record the highest unemployment rate of 10 percent at the end of this year, followed by Teleorman – 9.8 percent and Mehedinti – 9 percent. The lowest unemployment rates will be in the counties of Ilfov (0.5 percent), Timiş (1 percent) and Arad (1.4 percent).

From the point of view of the value of the gross domestic product, the top is dominated by the capital (RON 228,674 billion current prices), followed by the Timis counties (RON 44,586 billion), Constanta (RON 42,704 billion) and Cluj (RON 41.537 billion). The lowest GDP values ​​will be recorded in Covasna (RON 6,594 billion), Mehedinti (RON 6,649 billion) and Tulcea (RON 7,132 billion) in 2018.
