eMag plans to open two new showrooms this year

IT&C online retailer eMag announced it has plans to open two new showrooms this year, one of which will be located in Constanta, informs Mediafax newswire.

“The first of these new showrooms, which will be opened at the beginning of September, will be located in the center of Constanta, and will have a surface of 300 square meters , and the investment will be around EUR 50,000- EUR 60,000,” said Radu Apostolescu, marketing manager of eMag. The location of the second showroom has not been decided yet.

Currently, the company has five showrooms, in Bucharest, Cluj, Iasi, Ploiesti and Timisoara (which it opened this year).

eMag forecasts a turnover of EUR 100 million this year, which would represent a 56 percent growth on 2009 when it posted a turnover of EUR 64 million.

In the first semester, the company grew its business with 64 percent on the same period of the previous year up to EUR 41 million.
