E.ON Distributie Romania, the gas and energy distributor, changed its name on January 1 in Delgaz Grid, as part of a rebranding process that included the creation and promotion of a new visual identity.

The name change took place according to the internal and community legislation that requires  the energy sector companies to do a clear separation, including at visual identity level, between the supply and distribution operations to avoid any confusion.

Delgaz Grid operates a has network of over 21,600 km, respectively an energy network of over 81,000 km that serve around 3.1 million clients and cover the counties from Northern Romania (Cluj, Bistrita Nasaud, Maramures, Satu Mare, Salaj, Timis, Arad, Bihor, Caras-Severin, Hunedoara, Mures, Sibiu, Alba, Harghita, Iasi, Botosani, Vaslui, Suceava, Neamt, Bacau).

The company continues the investments in modernization and rehabilitation of gas and energy networks after putting around RON 400 million in the network in 2016. The total investments made by E.ON in Romania since it entered the local market in 2005 exceed EUR 1.4 billion.
