Tax & Law Conference, currently at its 16th edition, will take place on March 13th, at Sheraton Bucharest Hotel, Platinum Hall, beginning with 8.30 AM. The event agenda consists of two interactive panel discussions, a special debate session with CFOs, dedicated workshops and networking sessions.

With major fiscal changes being enforced in Romania that impact the private sector, companies are adapting to the new economic realities. Among the major updates the increase of the minimum wage, the shift in the payment of social security contributions from employers to employers and the implementation of new EU-based tax rules are some of the most prominent. The speakers from the panel discussions will debate whether these changes will impact Romania’s attractiveness for investors and its economic progress in the next period.

The panel discussions will offer a comprehensive review of the major fiscal and legal changes rolled out in 2017 and the beginning of 2018 and their impact on the Romanian business environment. Top representatives from the public and private sectors will analyse the new fiscal environment and propose best practices for addressing the changes in the most efficient manner.

The list of speakers for the first panel discussions include: Eugen Teodorovici, Minister of Public Finance*, Mirela Călugăreanu, President of ANAF*, Mihaela Pohaci, Partner at PNSA Tax, Ramona Jurubița, Deputy Senior Partner, Head of Tax & Legal at KPMG, Marius Ionescu, Tax Partner, Co-Head of NNDKP Tax Advisory Services, Mădălina Nicola, Head of Accounting & Payroll at Noerr Finance & Tax, Raluca Buciuc, Director, Valuation Services and Hospitality Advisory Services at Colliers International Romania and Viorel Sbora, Manager at Atipic Solutions.

The perspective of CFOs on the changes will be brought in the forefront in order to understand the challenges faced by companies in keeping up with the constant updates of the legislation. For a more holistic perspective, the financial representatives come from diverse sectors. The speakers include: Mihaela Ionescu, Microsoft, Mircea Varga, Țiriac Holdings and Dan Berciu, Eurolines Group.
