Carmaker Dacia, owned by France’s Renault, registered a record semester with sales of 330,000 units, a growth by 12 percent compared with 2016.
Renault and the entire group also reached a fresh high with 1.88 million sold cars. The biggest markets were in France, Russia and Italy.
Out of the sold cars this semester, 310,000 were cars and the rest were commercial vehicles. Renault sold 1.34 million units and Lada sold 150,000 cars. Overall, the group’s sales climbed by 10 percent up to 1.88 million units.
