Dacia cars sales in Europe were up close to 28 percent in May and its market share increased from 2.8 percent to 3.3 percent, according to the statistics of the Association of European Cars Constructors (ACEA).
Dacia car registrations in Europe amounted to 47,373 units in May, a growth compared with May 2016, when there were 37,043 cars registered.
Renault and PSA Peugeot Citroen registered growth of sales in May of 10.4 percent, respectively 4.8 percent. The German group Volkswagen registered an increase in deliveries of 8.4 percent in May, while Ford sales climbed by 4.1 percent.
In the first five months of this year, Dacia cars deliveries registered an increase by 11 percent in Europe and the market share increased from 2.7 percent to 2.8 percent. The Dacia cars registrations in Europe amounted to 196,103 units.
