Cristian Herghelegiu is the new country manager of ePayment. Daniel Nicolescu was appointed chief product officer of PayU

Cristian Herghelegiu, formerly head of business development & strategy, was appointed country manager of online payment integrator ePayment Romania. 

 Daniel Nicolescu, who has been filling the position of country manager up to this point, was promoted as chief product officer of the entire PayU group that ePayment is part of. He will be in charge with the strategy and the development of the products of the group.

 Other two promotions were made from the ePayment team at the level of the entire PayU group. Andreea Polizu, formerly head of the operational department, was promoted as Anti-Fraud & AML Manager of PayU.

 Stefan Cenusa, who coordinated the anti-fraud team, was promoted as Technical Deployment Coordinator in PayU.

 ePayment is part of the PayU group and the main integrator of solutions for online payments in Romania, having processed transactions of EUR 106.7 million in the first 9 months of the year.

CV Cristian Herghelegiu

 Cristian Herghelegiu has 13 years of experience in IT, having coordinated various businesses, both online and offline. In 2004, he launched and coordinated Microsoft Dynamics, the division of business solutions of Microsoft Romania. Later, he launched  Central Europe On-Demand, a company specialized in software-as-a-service. In 2010, he joined the ePayment team as Business Strategist and since November 2010 he was appointed country manager ePayment. 

CV Daniel Nicolescu

 Daniel Nicolescu comes with a 15 years background in IT, being specialized in electronic commerce, online payments and software distribution. He was involved in the development of RAV Antivirus, which was sold to Microsoft in 2003. He was also one of the founders of Avangate, which was partly acquired by 3TS Cisco following an EUR 4 million investment in 2010. Nicolescu was also one of the founders of ePayment, that was acquired last year by PayU, part of Naspers group.
