Christian Tour adds 10 busses worth EUR 3 mln to its fleet

Christian Tour has recently added 10 Neoplan buses to its fleet, Memento Bus, meant for long-haul travels, following an investment of EUR 3 million.

The Neoplan Cityliner and Tourliner coaches come as an addition to its 15 fleet of buses and several small capacity vehicles (Mercedes Vito and Sprinter), already operated by Memento Bus. With the renewal all vehicles in the fleet were upgraded so that each vehicle will provide a similar level of comfort.

The 60 seats buses will be necessary especially during peak periods, but also for destinations where there are large volumes of tourists interested in going, such as Corfu, where Christian Tour sent about 10,000 tourists last year, of which 60 percent requested coach transportation.

The automobiles leave all at once and it is useful to manage fewer vehicles with several passengers. Additionally we manage and optimize operating expenses. All fleet serves transport to foreign travel destinations: charter, coach circuits in Europe and the Senior Voyage program. Thus, during the season ends (March-May and September-November) the coaches are sent – with all the drivers and guides – in destinations such as Costa Brava, Costa del Sol, Ivory Coast, Naples etc. and local excursions carried out. Basically, they are serving the needs of Christian Tour at the end destination,” said Marius Pandel, CEO of Christian Tour – Memento Bus.

Memento Bus is the transport division of Christian Tour, a Romanian travel agency active locally for 19 years. The company posted a turnover of EUR 70 million in 2015. Christian Tour has a network of 30 agencies across Romania and four branches in Hungary, Poland, Serbia and the Republic of Moldova.
