Retailer Carrefour has recalled from the market all its types of the salmon and humus salads after it found that the products were infested with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria, according to the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA).

The recalled products are: carrots and onions salad 140 grams, Carrefour own brand, lot: 2408 / DLC 13.10.2018, EAN code: 6420169005328, cabbage and onion salad 70 grams, Carrefour own brand, lot: 2408 / DLC 13.10.2018, EAN code: 6420169005304, 300g carp and 300g onion, Carrefour own brand, lot: 2408 / DLC 13.10.2018, EAN code: 6420169005298 and 250 grams hummus salad, Carrefour own brand, lot 264 / DLC 06: 10.2018, EAN code: 5941850531175.

ANSVSA recommends that people who purchased the products described above should not consume them, and instead discard them or bring them back to the shops where they bought them, and the value of the products will be returned without the need to bring a receipt.

“People who have consumed products and who have a simple fever or headache are asked to see their doctor and report their consumption. Pregnant women, people with low immunity and the elderly should pay special attention to these symptoms. These symptoms may suggest listeriosis, a potentially serious disease with an incubation time of up to eight weeks,” the ANSVSA announcement shows.
