The Court of Appeal (CA) in Alba Iulia approved on Thursday the request for the re-opening of the case regarding the Hunedoara Energy Complex’s insolvency.
”At the request of the debtor (CEH), the court gave a deadline to resume the hearing of the case on October 18. This term was granted in order to prepare the parties for debating the fund,” the CA Alba Iulia transmitted.
Judgment and resolution of the case by which CEH requested insolvency was suspended at CA Alba Iulia in May 2017 after the union appealed to the HCCJ after the request for intervention in this case had not been approved.
The Supreme Court annulled the appeal of the union and so the file returned to the CA Alba Iulia settlement.
On February 7, 2017, the Hunedoara Court dismissed the application for insolvency lodged with the CEH administration and several creditors, appealing to the court in Alba Iulia.
With debts exceeding RON 1.2 billion, the CEH management requested the company’s entry into insolvency, claiming on several occasions that this procedure is the only way to avoid bankruptcy of the company.
