BVB to close on Good Friday and Orthodox Easter

Romanian capital market will be closed on April 6- Good Friday, and on April 9-Orthodox Easter, according to the information of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).

The value of shares transactions on the main segment of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) increased by 28.5 percent, in the first quarter of this year, compared with the similar period of 2017, to over RON 3.51 billion, according to the data of the BVB.

In March on the first place in top of the most transacted companies is Banca Transilvania, with over RON 219.4 million, followed by Fondul Proprietatea, with RON 145.4 million and by Romgaz, with over RON 119.3 million. The fourth and fifth place are occupied by BRD and SIF5 Oltenia, with RON 114.7 million, respectively RON 77.1 million.

The biggest price increase of shares was Condmag, by 120.47 percent, Alumil Rom Industry, by 37.04 percent and UAMT, by 13.33 percent.

The transactions value, on the alternative system, climbed by 18.2 percent, to RON 42 million, in the first quarter of this year compared with the similar period of 2017.
The most transacted companies in March were Deutsche Bank, with RON 4.44 million, Macofil, with RON 1.33 million and Unirea Shopping Center, with RON 0.7 million.

Regarding the value of the shares price, the biggest increase was registered in Napochim, with 2.42 percent, Laminorul, with 700 percent, and Mobam, plus 635,29 percent.

Almost all Romanian stock exchange indices increased by over 10 percent at the beginning of the year.

The smallest increase, by 2.76 percent, is registered by BET-FI.
