Universities don’t know where their students will find work once they graduate, said Florin Godean, country manager Adecco Romania.
Godean added that companies first came to Romania due to the low costs of the economy, but things have changed now. For instance, manufacturing players has a growing added value and companies are also developing Research & Development facilities.
“I haven’t seen investors with a large number of employees coming to Romania in recent years. Many big companies continue to develop as they have a privileged position on the market, but smaller companies are having a harder time,” said the executive during the first day of the Foreign Investors’ Summit organized by Business Review.
On the attraction of new talent in the economy, Godeanu said there is a big issue when it comes to universities.
“Graduates’ traceability is non-existent in our system – universities have no idea where their students go after they graduate,” he said.
