BR Exclusive! Cosmopolis developers to invest in the expansion of the residential project

Opus Land Development, the developer of the giant residential project Cosmopolis, purchased 10 hectares of land close to the project, for around EUR 2.5 million from Atlas Construct. The company will further develop a project of villas, apartments and facilities.

“We recently acquired several land plots with a total surface of approximately 10 hectares. We do not yet have the master plan but we will add this new surface to the existing one and get ready for the further development of Cosmopolis. On the new acquired plots we will also develop villas, apartments and facilities that will add to the already long list of facilities we offer for the community inside the project,” Ahmet Buyukhanli, CEO of Opus Land Development, told BR.

The developer has sold around 3,000 apartments in Cosmopolis, a project launched in 2007 and located close to Stefanestii de Jos, in which it invested around EUR 300 million to this day.

The Cosmopolis community includes around 7,000 people and the developer, run by Turkish businessman Ahmet Buyukhanli, intends to build at least another 7,000 residential units.

Within the residential complex, the Cosmopolis Plaza shopping mall was built last year, following an investment of EUR 2.2 million. It has already opened shops for children, a pharmacy, a dry cleaner, a pet shop, clothing stores, a supermarket, a confectioner’s shop, an interior design shop, a bio-shop, a beauty salon and other service spaces.
