BR Awards 2018: Discover the winner of the Deal of the Year award

The award for Deal of the Year was handed out in tonight’s BR Awards Gala by Serban Roman, Country Director Romania, Enterprise Investors.

Winner: Axxess Capital Partners, for its successful exit from Bitdefender

The award was picked up by Valentin Tăbuș, Partner at Axxess Capital Partners, who said: “Thank you on behalf of the entire team, thank you to BR and all of you, without you such events would not be possible. I want to congratulate a lot of people who are not here, who have passion for technology, who want to expand Romanian tech brands.”

Axxess Capital’s exit from Bitdefender represents the biggest deal involving a Romanian technology company from a valuation perspective (USD 600 million), while being a landmark transaction for the entire region, signaling its capacity for generating globally scalable technological innovation.
