German company Bosch is currently in advanced negotiations to make an investment in the Tetarom industrial park, close to the Nokia facilities, according to Alin Tise, president of the Cluj county council, quoted by Ziua de Cluj.

The German company is looking at hiring 1,000 people in the initial stage.

Discussions have been going on for ten months, according to Tise.

In May, the GM of the company in Romania, Brigitte Eble, said Bosch will announce in the second half of this year the start of the construction of a new production unit in Romania.

Bosch has made investments in three Romanian cities so far- Bucharest, Blaj and Timisoara, in the field of distribution of car parts and equipment, electric tools, import and distribution of electrical home appliances and parts for the machine and tolls industry. The company also has an outsourcing center in Romania.

Last year Bosch had 1,135 employees in Romania, which represented a 21 percent growth compared to 2009.

Bosch posted a turnover of EUR 161 million last year, which represented a 17 percent growth. This year the company forecasts a growth in turnover up to the sum of EUR 172 million.
