The governor of the National Bank of Romania (BNR), Mugur Isarescu, says that the central bank has revised upwards Romania’s inflation forecast to 2.7 percent by the end of 2017.
For the end of 2018, the BNR forecasts an inflation rate of 3.2 percent, and the for the third semester of 2019 it stands at 3.1 percent.
Based on constant tax rates, the inflation will reach 3.3 percent in December 2017, 3.1 percent at the end of next year and 2.9 percent by September 2019.
