BNR publishes net wages of management in transparency bid

The National Bank of Romania (BNR) will start publishing, starting September 1, the net wages of members of its management as well as the income of members of its Administration Board, while for directors they will release the salary scale.

The BNR website will publish information on the bank’s salary policy, which will be updated annually. In the case of the bank’s top management, such as the governor and vice-governors, the BNR will publish the net average standard income and the net monthly income received by presidents, vice-presidents and members of the Administration Board, Suciu explained.

According to Dan Suciu, the income is supplemented by other sums amounting to a maximum of 2.6 net monthly salaries, the retirement allowance, participation to the profit made by the BNR based on annual financial results after tax and payment of other obligations.
