The minister delegate of European Funds, Rovana Plumb, signed the financing contract for the project “Restauration, conservation and improvement of the historical monument assembly Banffy Castle”, located in Rascruci village from Cluj county.
It is an investment financed by the European Fund of Regional Development, through the Regional Operational Program 2014-2020, with a total value of approximately RON 20 million, out of which the non-reimbursement is over EUR 19 million.
The project has a length of 42 months and implies the rehabilitation of this objective, which will determine the growth of the number of tourists in the area, including the local economy development.
The castle from Rascruci, administered by the Cluj County Council, is part of the Banffy architecture assembly from Bontida. The monument was the summer residence of Banffy family. In the present, the castle can be visited on request.
The Regional Operational Program 2014-2020 is one of the operational programs implemented in Romania, co-financed with European structural and investments funds.
