Auchan brings in Romania a new format and opens the first supermarket in Bucur Obor center

The French retailer Auchan launches a new format in Romania and will open in Bucharest its first supermarket in Bucur Obor Commercial Center.

Auchan Retail Romania and Bucur Obor signed a rental contract for a surface of 2,300 sqm.

„We are glad to announce the the partnership signed with Bucur Obor SA, that will allow us to make one more step in the development of our proximity trade. The offer of Auchan will cover the daily needs of our clients,” said Ionut Ardeleanu, general director of Auchan Retail Romania.

Auchan expanded in Romania on hypermarkets area and starting this year, it entered also the proximity stores segment, with the brand MyAuchan, in partnership with Petrom SA.

Currently, Auchan Romania has 33 hypermarkets and 4 proximity stores opened in Petrom stations.
