Ariston Thermo Romania: 40 pct of the local boiler market is for replacements

According to data by Ariston Thermo Romania, one of the important players of local electric boilers and thermal stations, and BRD Building Solutions, 40 percent of the local boiler market accounts for replacements, while the rest is being supported by new installments.

„In the context of the European norms that stipulate the gradual replacement of products with high level of consumption from the market, but also the change in behavior of Romanians at the moment of acquisition, this year we focus on the important sales growth of boilers with high efficiency,” said Catalin Draguleanu, country manager of Ariston Thermo Romania.

Besides the replacements, the rest of the boilers sales were mainly for the first installment, especially the new buildings, strongly influenced by the positive evolutions of the real estate sector in the last year.

Another factor that influences the sales of the water heating systems is the activity on the non-residential market, where in the last years, high investments have been made.

The data of the company shows that half of the boilers segment is represented by electric boilers with accumulation, with capacities from 10 to 150 liters.
