Andre Vivan da Silva has been promoted as vice-president and cluster area director for GSK South-Eastern Europe starting January 1, one year after his appointment as general manager of GSK Romania. He will continue to operate in the company’s headquarter in Bucharest, Romania. The new general director will be announced soon.
Vivan da Silva will be responsible for the continuation of the global performance indices supply of the group and for the innovation stimulation in the countries from the region.
He has an experience in the pharma industry at global level, but also in the business model of GSK. As general manager of GSK Romania, Vivan da Silva focused on the growth of the GSK presence on the local market. Moreover, his proactive commitment and his contribution to the public policies development in healthcare were recognized by the business associations such as External Investors Council, where da Silva was board member.
Vivan da Silva joined GSK as specialty business unit director in Brazil. Before joining GSK Romania, Vivan da Silva has been vice-president of Primary Care and Commercial Operations in Italy starting 2014. He has a master degree in International Business Administration at University Bournemouth UK.

The South Eastern Europe region was formed in August 2016 and includes pharma divisions of GSK from Romania, Bulgaria,Serbia, Montenegro, Cyprus, Malta & Gibraltar, Croatia, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia and Bosnia – Herzegovina.
