Turkey’s situation cannot be considered one of force majeure, so, for withdrawals, the tourism agency has to apply the specific clause from the closed contract with every tourists, says the National Tourism Agencies Association (ANAT).

ANAT and the tour operators with charters in Antalya and Bodrum destinations don’t have any signal from the Turkish operators, from Romanian and Turkish authorities or from any other party that the emergency state activation might affect the tourism, but on the contrary, they were ensured that there are no effects on it. The charters from the two destinations operate according to the season schedule 2016, says ANAT.

„The emergency state will not affect the life of citizens and tourists. As we have seen examples in other countries, this state will not have any effect on the travel freedom and will not effect the  daily life. The airports and all the touristic facilities are perfectly functional, ” announced the Tourism Agencies Association from Turkey (TURSAB).

„The Turkish Government has introduced the emergency state on the entire country for three months, but according to the authorities from Ankara this doesn’t have direct effect on the circulation freedom of civil population, neither on the foreign tourists, ” said the Romanian Ministry of External Affairs (MAE) on Thursday.

The Romanian authorities recommend those who want to travel in Turkey to be permanently informed about the domestic evolution of this state and to verify the availability of transport means to or from this destination.
