Alexandru Lupea appointed head of audit department at EY Romania

Alexandru Lupea has been appointed leader of audit department of EY Romania, starting July. He has been working for Big 4 firms since 1995.

Lupea started his career at EY in 2012, as partner in the audit department. In 2012, he also coordinated the regional offices of EY Romania and in 2014 he became Growth Markets Leader, bringing a contribution in the strategic platform development for entrepreneurs.

„From my new position, I aim to grow the business in a sustainable manner, which won’t be easy in the current context of intense competition between firms, but also the though competition for qualitative human resources,” says Lupea.

He owns two Bachelor degrees from Polytechnis University from Bucharest and Bucharest University of Economic Studies, an MBA degree and a ACCA UK diploma (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). He is a member of the Financial Auditors Chamber from Romania and of CECCAR.

„The appointment of Alexandru Lupea is a result of an exceptional career, for over 20 years, in audit. From Growth Markets leader position, he supported the development of Romanian entrepreneurship through EY programs,” said Bogdan Ion, country managing partner EY Romania.
