The chief security researcher of Bitdefender, Alex Balan, will speak during the eight Focus on Technology & Telecom Event, organized by Business Review on November 22.

He will join the Track 2 of the event, speaking about cybersecurity in the panel “Technology driven innovation for any company. A look at game-changing models reshaping their industries from within.”

Balan is driving security research in the IoT field and preaches IoT security awareness at conferences such as CERT Annual Summit, Interpol’s MENA Working Group meeting on Cybercrime for Heads of Units, DefCamp, IMWorld and Future of Media. His professional career is focused on Information Security, Innovation and Product Strategy, thus far accumulating over 15 years’ worth of experience in these fields. He drove the vision for Bitdefender’s UNIX-based security solutions prior to kickstarting an ambitious project to bring forward the R&D department, and steer a good part of the company’s focus towards technology and innovation. His role contributed significantly to the company’s current position as technology leader.
