56 Finalist works at Effie Awards 2017

The organizers have announced that 56 works out of the total of 106 entered in this year’s Effie Awards passed the first round of judging.

The campaigns were presented yesterday on the scene of the Apollo 111 theatre, during an event presented by Alexandra Iavorschi, The President of the Organizing Committee of Effie 2017, managing partner Starcom MediaVest.

18 agencies received nominations in 24 categories of the contest: Cohn & Jansen JWT, DDB Romania, FCB Bucharest, GMP Advertising, Graffiti BBDO, Headvertising, Jazz, Leo Burnett Romania/Publicis One, Making of Promotion, McCann Worldgroup Romania, Mercury 360 Communication, Ogilvy Romania, Papaya Advertising, Propaganda, Publicis Romania/Publicis One, The Hub Partners, Webstyler, WOPA.

The finalist brands are: Albalact, ALFERS, Aqua Carpatica, Automobil Clubul Roman, AVStore, Bergenbier, Bucovina, Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Lime, Comedy Central, Dacia Duster, Digi Mobil, Dorna, Edenia, ETI Puf, Fanta & Sprite, Fortuna, Gândul.info, Gillette, Groupama, ING, Itsy Bitsy Radio, J&B, Kaufland, KFC, Lenor, MagneVie, NN Health Insurance, Pepsi, Plantam Fapte Bune in Romania, Politia Romana, Provident, Radio Guerrilla, Secom, Staropramen, Timisoreana, Vodafone.

The Jury from the first round was formed of 50 specialist in marketing and communication, research and professionals in the academic field. In the second round another 40 senior in the industry will analyze the finalist works and will choose the winners Effie Awards 2017. At the end of the competition, all the nominated and winning agencies will receive points in Effie Global Index, one of the most prestigious tools of indexing the agencies, networks and companies worldwide, formed based on the results of each local Effie festival.

Besides the EFFIE 2017 finalists, the event hosted also another Effie Talk, offered by Béla Ziemann, Head of Strategy Publicis Italia.

The Effie Awards 2017 winners will be applauded on June 14 during the Awards Ceremony that will take place at MNAR, The Auditorium Hall.
